Our world has gone high-tech. And so have child predators. According to research, 1 in 5 teenagers have received an unwanted sexual solicitation online. These predators prey on the millions of children who go online everyday to do their homework or chat with friends. Online predators are smart, motivated and technically savvy. That is why the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force teamed up with Shaquille ONeal and created the Shaq Shield.

The Shaq Shield is a high-tech tool to protect kids online.

The Shaq Shield promotes Internet safety by giving you important safety tips and a glossary of Internet terminology and popular lingo used by children online. The Shaq Shield encourages you to take ownership of childrens Internet activity by pledging to set rules and guidelines to keep children safe online. And the Shaq Shield provides instant, real time information about registered sex offenders in Ohio.
